Towing in Bayonne, NJ: Broadway, Avenue C, Route 440, Exit 14A and the Cape Liberty cruise terminal on the peninsula

Bayonne is a long peninsula between Newark Bay and Upper New York Bay, and it is the first Hudson County town our trucks reach. From the Linden yard it is about 25 minutes by the Extension to Exit 14A. Broadway runs its full length, Route 440 hugs the west shore, and the old military ocean terminal at the east end now holds the Cape Liberty cruise port.

Towing near me, Bayonne

Bayonne towing from the Jersey City line to the peninsula's tip: the streets, the port and the cruise terminal

Bayonne calls include shoppers stalled on Broadway, commuters on Avenue C and at the light-rail lots, crashes on Route 440 by the retail strips, trucks near the port, and cruise passengers whose cars will not start at Cape Liberty, all at the same $149 by phone or $129 if you book online.

01

Broadway and the town center

Broadway is Bayonne's main street, lined with shops, banks and curb parking from end to end. A wheel-lift loads from the curb in a couple of minutes. Tell the dispatcher the numbered cross street, since Bayonne's streets run in order and the driver finds you fast.

02

Avenue C, the light rail and the side streets

Avenue C and Kennedy Boulevard carry most of the traffic that is not on Broadway, and the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail stations draw commuter cars. Cars that sat all day at a station usually need a jump. That is one flat price, and the tow is added only if the battery will not hold.

03

Route 440 and Exit 14A

Route 440 runs along the Newark Bay side past big stores and the approach to the bridge toward Staten Island. Crashes at its lights and stalls in its merges are common. Turnpike and Parkway shoulders are served by the Authority's authorized garages. Book with us and we take the car from the exit or the garage's lot.

04

Cape Liberty and the port end

The cruise terminal and the industrial lots at the east end bring in travelers and freight trucks alike. A car that will not start after a week parked at the terminal is a common call. Medium and heavy-duty trucks handle the freight side from the same fleet.

FAQ

Bayonne: common questions

Short answers to what people ask about this page; the dispatcher can answer the rest.

How close is your yard to Bayonne?

About 25 minutes by the Turnpike Extension to Exit 14A. Bayonne is the first Hudson County town our trucks reach, so it is one of the quickest places we serve in the county.

My car will not start after a cruise at Cape Liberty. What happens?

The driver comes with a jump pack first at one flat price. If the battery is finished, the car is towed on the same visit to the shop or home you choose.

Can you tow from Bayonne to a shop in Staten Island?

Yes, over the bridge. A trip into New York is quoted up front as a long-distance tow, with the toll included in the number you hear.

Do you come to Route 440 by the stores?

Yes. Route 440 is direct dispatch. Tell the dispatcher your direction and the nearest store so the truck approaches on your side.
