Towing in Hoboken and Weehawken, NJ: Washington Street, Hoboken Terminal, the waterfront garages and the Lincoln Tunnel helix
Hoboken and Weehawken sit on the Hudson under the Palisades cliff, one square mile of brownstones and the tunnel town just north of it. From Linden the trip is about 32 minutes, through downtown Jersey City or around by the Holland Tunnel side. Parking is tight, garages are everywhere, and the Lincoln Tunnel has its own rules.
Towing in Hoboken and Weehawken: permit streets, deep garages, the terminal and the tunnel side
Hoboken and Weehawken calls are mostly cars that will not start on permit streets, AWD cars in waterfront garages, commuter cars at Hoboken Terminal, stalls on the Lincoln Tunnel approach once Port Authority has moved them, and flood-season stalls on the west side, all at the same $149 by phone or $129 if you book online.
Washington Street and the permit blocks
Washington Street runs the length of Hoboken with bars, shops and double-parked deliveries. The side streets are resident-permit parking packed bumper to bumper. A wheel-lift or skates get a boxed-in car out without touching the neighbors.
Hoboken Terminal and the south end
The terminal ties the PATH, NJ Transit trains and the ferries together near Observer Highway. Commuters coming back to a dead battery get a jump first at one flat price.
Give the dispatcher the lot or garage name, since several sit within a few blocks of each other.
Stevens, the waterfront and Port Imperial garages
Stevens Institute sits on Castle Point, and waterfront towers from Hoboken up to Port Imperial in Weehawken park cars underground. Those are mostly flatbed jobs. Tell us the clearance at the garage entrance before the truck arrives.
The Lincoln Tunnel helix and Route 495
Inside the tunnel and on the Route 495 helix, Port Authority crews clear stalled cars to a safe spot. Once the car is off their roads, on a Weehawken or Union City street, we pick it up from there. Park Avenue and Boulevard East are the usual drop points.

Call nowHoboken & Weehawken: common questions
Short answers to what people ask about this page; the dispatcher can answer the rest.
How long does a truck take to reach Hoboken?
About 32 minutes from the Linden yard. If a truck is already working in downtown Jersey City, it is often much less, and the dispatcher tells you which.
My car stalled in the Lincoln Tunnel. Can you tow it?
The Port Authority clears the tunnel and the helix. Once they move the car off their roads, call with the location and we take it wherever you want.
Can you get a car out of a Hoboken permit street when it is boxed in?
Yes. The driver uses skates to slide it sideways out of the space. Anything beyond a normal hook-up is priced on the call.
Do you tow flood-stalled cars in Hoboken?
Yes, once the water has dropped enough to reach them safely. Do not try to restart a car that sat in water; call and a flatbed comes.
Anything else? Ask on the call.
